Drone imagery revealed debris in concealed roof channels

Drone photographs revealed debris in roof channels and valleys concealed from ground-level view at a Staffordshire rural estate. Delivered the same day, the images gave the owner a visual record to inform decisions about maintenance or further professional inspection.

A clearer view before arranging roof access

The owner needed to see roof areas across a long main property and a separate building fitted with solar panels. Channels and valleys between adjoining slopes were difficult to assess from the ground.

Getting an initial view through physical access would have required additional labour and specialist equipment. Aerial imagery gave the owner visual information before deciding whether maintenance or a professional inspection was needed.

Close-range views of the concealed areas

I planned the flight around the relevant roof areas, capturing both directly overhead and close-range views.

The photographs showed debris in channels and valleys hidden from normal ground-level viewpoints. Capture used 48 MP RAW photography, with each selected image individually colour-corrected for delivery.

A visual record for maintenance planning

The owner received a concise set of photographs showing the areas that needed consideration in the next maintenance decision.

These photographs were provided for visual review and maintenance planning. They are not a structural inspection or building survey. Any suspected defect may still need assessment by a suitably qualified professional.
